Coaching & Lessons
I believe in a soft approach for both the horse and rider, with the philosophy of taking things slowly to build confidence. My program includes a judgment-free zone, combining my love for teaching both horse and rider effective and safe techniques that will build a confident partnership, no matter your riding goals.
Lesson packages are catered to brand new owners and riders who are beginners, to seasoned owners who are looking for extra coaching support. I am happy to help you achieve your goals both in the saddle and on the ground.

We also specialize directly in the transitioning and training of off-track thoroughbreds
(retired racehorses or "OTTBs").
​
My approach is different, as I focus on the rider and horse one-on-one, privately. No chaotic group lessons and no "commercialised" settings. I believe in free communication through questions and answers, where both horse and rider can feel comfortable in their own environment without pressure.

I offer concierge packages, where I am available to you for questions or guidance at any time,
including extra on-site assistance for new horse owners.

All lessons are travel lessons to your barn, with the exception of meeting for a schooling event or show.
All lesson prices include travel cost to your barn.
Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours prior will incur the entire lesson fee.
All riders must be equipped with proper riding gear - if you are not sure, please ask us; this is part of your learning!
Beginner Rider/Owner Coaching
An intro into horse ownership through ground work and equine fundamentals. If you are a beginner horse owner and rider, this includes an introductory consult, followed by coaching lessons that will introduce you to the fundamentals of ownership, handling, and riding a horse.
These sessions last 2 hours at a time.

Private Lesson/Coaching
A one-hour lesson focusing on either ground work or working under-saddle, with a focus on the rider's goals, focusing on building a confident rider and horse.

Restarting The OTTB
A one-hour session focusing on the restarting and retraining of your retired thoroughbred. Lesson plans are geared towards the rider's goals and focused on rider and horse confidence, as well as the education of thoroughbred racehorses.
Nina has successfully retrained and competed hundreds of off-track thoroughbreds through her aftercare program, TRRAC.

Lessons include groundwork, problem areas, flat work under saddle, and introduction to jumping (if desired). Other focus areas can include rider goals for trail/pleasure riding, showing, obstacle training, etc.
